Thay mặt cho Ban Chấp hành CĐNVTD / Wollongong, chúng tôi xin được thông báo cùng quý đồng hương vào sáng ngày 28.4.2023, đại diện CĐNVTD/Wollongong đã đến gặp đại diện tổ chức Caritas, cô Kerrie Hennessy, để trao lại số tiền $13,791.00 gây quỹ cứu trợ nạn nhân động đất
Xin chân thành cảm ơn tất cả quý quan khách, quý anh chị em thiện nguyện viên và mạnh thường quân đã hăng hái hưởng ứng lời mời gọi của BCH/CĐNVTD/Wollongong.
Những đóng góp của quý anh chị em là một khích lệ lớn lao giúp cho Ban Tổ Chức chúng tôi mạnh dạn trong những công tác chung của Cộng Đồng chúng ta tại địa phương.
Ước mong với tấm lòng từ tâm và liên đới trong Tình Người của tất cả chúng ta, sẽ giúp người dân Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ và Syria có thêm tinh thần và sức mạnh để vượt qua cơn khốn khó của đất nước họ.

Dear Vietnamese Community in Wollongong,
On behalf of Caritas Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Kirsty Robertson, I would like to thank you for your generous support and contribution to Caritas Australia’s Turkey-Syria Emergency Appeal.
On the morning of Monday, 6th February 2023, Turkey was struck by a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Caritas Australia is working with the Caritas Confederation on the ground to respond to the devastation caused by the earthquake. The Caritas Network is coordinating with local authorities, including AFAD, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, to gather information and organise the response.
We are very grateful to be the recipient of the funds raised for such a worthy cause. The $13,791 raised at your fundraising event on Sunday, 16th April, will be used to urgent aid and assistance to vulnerable communities affected by the Turkey Syria earthquake. Your support can provide life-saving essentials, such as food rations, clean water and emergency shelter.
