The Vietnamese Community in Wollongong warmly invite everyone to the following community events:
- 50th Anniversary of the Vietnamese Refugees Journey and Settlement in Australia/ Wollongong - Dinner at Dapto on Sat 14th June 2025 (ticket $30 Buffet dinner)
All proceeds raised will be donated to St Vincent De Paul - Wollongong, an organisation that has made a profound impact in the lives of Vietnamese Refugees who settled in Wollongong. By supporting this charity, we acknowledge their invaluable contributions and celebrate the power of community spirit.
Kỷ niệm 50 năm hành trình và định cư của người tị nạn Việt Nam tại Úc/Wollongong - Ăn tối tại Dapto vào thứ bảy ngày 14 tháng 6 năm 2025 (vé ăn tối Buffet $30/ p/p)
Toàn bộ số tiền thu được sẽ được quyên góp cho St Vincent De Paul - Wollongong, một tổ chức đã giúp đở những người tị nạn Việt Nam đầu tiên đến định cư tại Wollongong. CĐNVTD/Wollongong muốn tri ân và ghi nhận những tổ chức thiện nguyện này.
- Exhibition at the Wollongong library, Friday 20th June 2025 (free event).
During June, Refugee Week, we will hold an exhibition at the Wollongong Library to showcase our early arrivals' journey, achievements and contributions and their invaluable contributions to Australia/ Wollongong City over the past five decades. Please join us at all the above events as we celebrate our 50th-year journey, a momentous milestone for our Vietnamese Community and be inspired by the powerful stories of hope and triumph.
Vào tháng 6, Tuần lễ Người Tỵ Nạn, chúng tôi sẽ tổ chức một cuộc triển lãm tại Thư viện Wollongong để giới thiệu hành trình, thành tựu và đóng góp của những người Việt tỵ nạn đầu tiên đến đây, và những đóng góp của họ cho nước Úc/ Thành phố Wollongong trong năm thập niên qua. Hãy đến tham dự để cùng chúng tôi ôn lại tất cả các sự kiện trên, khi chúng tôi kỷ niệm hành trình 50 năm tỵ nạn và định cư của mình, một cột mốc quan trọng đối với Cộng đồng người Việt Tỵ Nạn của chúng tôi và để được truyền cảm hứng từ những câu chuyện về ý chí mạnh mẽ, sự dũng cảm và hy sinh của thế hệ trước, khi họ đi tìm tự do, cho con cháu, tại một đất nước mới tràn đầy hy vọng.
50 years may not come back, and we may not live to see another 50 years, so while we are here, let's seize this incredible opportunity to create unforgettable memories and make these events truly special.
50 năm có thể không quay lại, và chúng ta chắc không có thể sống để chứng kiến thêm 50 năm nữa , vì vậy khi chúng ta còn ở đây, hãy cùng nhau nói lời cám ơn ân nhân của chúng ta khi họ còn hiện hữu và tạo ra những kỷ niệm khó quên trong hành trình tỵ nạn và định cư của Cộng Đồng chúng ta.
